The Ovation E-260WW LED Ellipsoidal
USA - Worship Facilities, the official magazine of WFX, recently presented a 2016 New Product Award to the Chauvet Professional Ovation E-260WW. The warm white LED ellipsoidal, which has an output that exceeds that of an HPL 750W fixture, was the third product in the Ovation line to receive the Worship Facilities award since 2013.

"We're humbled and honoured to be recognised again by Worship Facilities," said Berenice Chauvet, Vice-President of Chauvet. "Our product development team has been intensely focused on developing LED fixtures with the brightness and performance capabilities needed to replace less efficient incandescent products. This award is a testament to their efforts."

The first LED ellipsoidal bright enough to serve as a true key light in large house of worship and theatrical applications, the Ovation E-260WW consumes far less power and generates far less heat than an incandescent fixture, while also offering a 50,000 hour LED source life, says Chauvet.

In addition to its combination of output and efficiency, the Ovation E-260WW has a number of performance features that are already leading many churches to embrace the new fixture. For example, its warm even field of light with a slight centre peak makes it ideal for crisp well-defined gobo projection, as well as for blending in with wash applications on worship stages. The adjustable Pulse Width Modification (PWM) yields flicker-free operation for broadcast worship services.

Also, thanks to its 16-bit dimming and emulated dimming capabilities, the Ovation E-260WW will integrate seamlessly into rigs that have incandescent fixtures. With a colour temperature of 3150K and a CRI over 90, it also matches up well with tungsten units when rendering colours with gels.

The Worship Facilities 2016 New Product Award for an LED fixture in the over $1,250 category is the latest honour earned by the Ovation line, but as far as Chauvet Professional is concerned, the best is yet to come. "The new possibilities that are being created by advances in LED technology are very exciting," said Chauvet. "We're eagerly looking forward to the future."
