Following a major expansion and renovation project, the church now occupies a new 3,600-seat main auditorium - which features 36 PixelPar 90s centre stage, installed behind opaque panels creating a back-drop of colour washes.
ALFC's lighting director Jimmy Salas reports: "The PixelPars are great. We wanted easy and reliable colour-changing lights that wouldn't require a lot of power. I get the colours I want, when I want them - they're very bright and use hardly any power. I run 36 Par90s on two outlets."
The PixelPars add another dimension to the stage and integrate seamlessly alongside the generic and moving lights. All the lighting fixtures, both in number and capability, were carefully chosen to offer maximum effect and lighting coverage. The PixelPars are controlled via an ETC Eos and were recommended by technical consultants Paul Luntsford (PLA Designs) and Richard Allen (RAD).
