PK Sound appoints first APAC distributor

On the appointment, CEO and chief engineer at PK Sound, Jeremy Bridge, commented: “The deal came about as Polar Audio was searching for a high-quality audio brand to complement to their high-end video and laser offerings. As a renowned audio designer, Polar Audio’s CTO became aware of the technology and made multiple visits to the factory, and attended live events where our loudspeakers were being used as well. Polar Audio was looking for a world class company that they believed could overtake established top level brands. PK Sound has just the right technology to do so.”
According to Bridge, Polar Audio combines the experience of long-serving industry professionals with a large network and market reach in the region, eventually being selected after patient and reserved deliberation.
“It’s extremely important to grow the global network in the correct manner and choose the right partners from the beginning,” he added. “Growing this global network will be a primary focus for PK Sound in 2019.”
Polar Audio will become a full-service distributor for PK Sound technology, supported closely by PK headquarters to provide solutions for customers, full service, stock, repair, technical staff and audio consulting. The company also has a demonstration facility in Guangzhou built specifically to showcase PK Sound products.
“The global marketplace for professional speaker technology is crowded at present, with dozens of manufacturers offering essentially the same products. PK Sound takes a different approach and provides solutions and technology not offered by other manufacturers,” commented Chen Hongquan, CEO at Polar Audio Guangzhou.
Following the deal, Polar Audio now has a complete stock of all Trinity 10, Gravity, Klarity, CX and VX products, as well as a Trinity demonstration system.
