Humanoid robots performed on the PR booth throughout the show
Germany - PR Lighting reported one of its most successful shows ever at this month's Prolight+Sound Show in Frankfurt.

Visitors to the Messe were hit with promotional banners from the moment they arrived, announcing a competition to win prizes based around five little humanoid robots, which had earlier performed on CCTV's Lunar New Year Gala 2016, celebrating the Chinese New Year. In Frankfurt they were performing to I'm Sexy And I Know It, which was synced to the spectacular lightshow. And after revelling in the show, many of the awe-struck visitors were fortunate enough to leave the booth with souvenirs, prizes and mementos after competing in the company's 'lucky draw'.

Away from this light-hearted crowd pleaser, there was more high technology in evidence, as the serious business was focused on the Chinese company's new BWS series. Using advanced lamp technology these fixtures integrate three features (Spot, Wash and Beam) in a single unit. Regular displays of the new XR 330 BWS, XR 350 BWS and XR 440 BWS, which had been so enthusiastically received at the recent GET Show in Guangzhou, were again breathtaking - and there are new products to follow.

Running in parallel was PR Lighting's evolving LED Studio range, now including (Xpar 150, Pro Stage 150 LED and RGBW). This is such an important series that the company took a dedicated booth facing across the aisle. This was set up as a simulated TV studio and featured new products such as ARC LED 1027 and 1054, forming a background wash, while the Xpar 150 was situated on top of the booth, with a TV presenter under the high CRI Pro Stage 150 LED.

According to sales director, Ernie Armas, the exposition really paid handsome dividends. "The international marketplace responded extremely favourably judging from the orders, because we sold many units. At times we couldn't even walk onto our own booth, because of the traffic."

PR Lighting's German distributor, Focon Showtechnic, also reported huge interest. Product manager, Jens Ottenhus, commented, "PR Lighting received a lot of excellent feedback, with the robots attracting many interested customers which in turn drew attention to the BWS series."
