The exhibition has been busy since the doors opened yesterday at 10am with architects, DJs, lighting designers, sound engineers, production managers and installers arriving in London to take part in the event.
The show's international credentials have been reinforced by the presence of companies from over 20 countries, including Canada, France, Israel, Lithuania, Germany, Spain, Sweden, The Netherlands, Turkey and the USA. All the major names are at Earls Court, amongst them 50 first-time exhibitors, including the innovative Canadian company Cirque du Soleil.
No other show gives visitors such a positive feel for all that's happening in the industry - not just in the UK, but around the world - offering a comprehensive and essential overview of the products, services and people that are influencing the way the industry develops.
Today will see another wave of events taking place: Monday is Awards day with the final decision revealed on the 60 new products vying to be recognised for their innovative approach to design and technology. These represent just a small cross-section of the numerous new products to be found across both show floors.
Renowned producer Sir George Martin will be at PLASA for the afternoon, visiting stands and presenting at the evening's Award ceremony. A limited edition lithograph of the original score for Yesterday - the most performed song in history - signed by both Sir George Martin and Sir Paul McCartney is being offered in a major prize draw at the event.
Monday's seminar programme also reflects the industry's diversity, and included in the day's portfolio are seminars which address the keys to motivating the people; the effects of architecture on contemporary worship; key employment law changes; the basics of mixing audio; the crossover of DMX from entertainment to architecture and the fundamentals of producing a worship service. Register online for half-price entry to the show.
