ELC has been at the forefront of lighting data networking for over 15 years, supplying theatres, TV studios, opera houses and touring events with Ethernet and DMX data networks.
ELC developed GreenGo to meet the market demands for a simple economic intercom to work with any Ethernet network, with the option for cue lights and text messaging. The compact GreenGo beltpack and wall panel outstations can be used on any Ethernet network with Power over Ethernet capability - not just a specific lighting network. Once set up (using software on a PC or Mac) each beltpack or wall panel holds operational data locally, which means that a centralised command and switching unit is not needed. Pre-set call groups can be accessed at the press of a button.
To utilise the optional cueing features of GreenGo (cue lights with accept and text messaging) a stand-alone 'stage managers' multichannel desk and PC (or Mac) may be added anywhere on the same network. Available in 8, 16 and 32 channels, the GreenGo multichannel desk provides direct voice and cuelight signalling to any outstation and manages text messaging.
The key to reliability and clarity is a combination of low latency and bandwidth, which is easily accommodated by the same Ethernet network that is running the vast lighting and display systems in real time.
The GreenGo Communications range will be launched at PLASA 2011 on the ELC stand 2, S15.
