Midas announced the gong during a pre-PLASA distributor's dinner and then later in the week on the Midas PLASA Stand during the European press launch of the PRO1 and VeniceU.
"The award was made in recognition of Britannia Row's design and application of the largest, most complex network of Midas consoles to date," explains brand manager Richard Ferriday. "The system was used on the hugely demanding Queen's Jubilee Concert where more than 250,000 people packed into The Mall, St. James's Park and at the Queen Victoria Memorial, to watch the stellar line up of bands, who performed in quick succession, as millions more watched around the world on TV."

In addition Josh employed 14 Midas DL431 digital mic splitters to take care of house band plus orchestra, plus guest bands, the most impressive patch I've ever seen! All the consoles and split systems proved themselves to be robust, reliable and ideal for meeting the challenges of an epic, multi band, fast turnaround show."
Ferriday adds, "Everyone at Midas was delighted to see the consoles deployed in such a clever and creative way by Britannia Row. The company's efforts had to be acknowledged. Britannia Row's decision to apply Midas's integrated networking capabilities on a gig as important (and public) as the Queen's Jubilee Concert is a fantastic endorsement for the system."
