There will be several new products on show in both the lighting and audio sections
MilTec (UK) Ltd. will once again be in their prime position in the front row at the PLASA show where they will be joined by UK and Ireland distributor MT Pro Ltd on stand 1-F1 in the main hall. There will be several new products on show in both the lighting and audio sections, featuring LED lighting, lightweight amplification and professional speakers. This will be in addition to existing products such as LED pars, mixers and signal processing.

On the lighting front, there will be moving heads, LED pars and battens, all featuring up-to -date technology with 150W white and 8W quadcolour LEDS to give powerful beams, crisp gobo projection and bright, even colour washes.

Of particular interest will be the EPW range of multi-function moving heads. These units use a white LED for the spot beam in place of a lamp. They also have tricolour LEDS positioned at the front end to give the wash beam. These LEDS can also be pixelmapped for effect lighting. The new EPW2 has interchangeable, indexable rotating gobos.

A new moving head wash has also been added to the range. The 360WZ is fitted with 36x 10W quadcolour LEDS and zoom optics. The quadcolour LEDS allow the user to obtain a wide range of pastel colours, making it ideal for use in theatres.

In addition to the moving heads there will be the CycWash system which is based on the MTC-Batten2. This system uses 18x 8W quadcolour LEDs and a barn door reflector to give an even wash of light on a cyclorama up to 5m+.

New in the audio section will be the TP62 low profile speaker cabinet. It is fitted with two 6" drivers and a 1.7" horn with adjustable dispersion control. This enables it to be used as a single source or as a line array system. A new lightweight amplifier will also be on show- the MTA-MA86 is an eight-channel amp delivering 260WRMS per channel into 4Ohms, yet it only weighs 5kg.

MilTec will also be joined on the stand by PR Lighting Ltd who will be showing a selection from their range of automated stage lighting products.
