The seminar is recommended for anyone involved with the installation of networked audio systems
UK - One of the key audio networking protocols, Audinate's Dante, is an essential part of audio solutions ranging from huge, multi-console festival and multi-zone club systems to the simplest of retail background music applications. PLASA 2016 features a unique, free opportunity for audio professionals to learn more about Dante, with a training event hosted by Kieran Walsh, regional manager, global support services at Audinate.

Taking place on Tuesday 20 September in the Apex Room, Olympia London, the seminar is recommended for anyone involved with the installation of networked audio systems; including design consultants, system integrators and live sound engineers. Certified Technology Specialists will earn four RU credits for attending.

The seminar, which will run from 10.00-15.30, is sponsored by a number of leading audio technology companies, including Audinate, Focusrite, Solid State Logic, Roland, Yamaha and XTA. With an introduction from PLASA's managing director Peter Heath, it will include Dante Level 1 and 2 training from Audinate's Kieran Walsh, live table-top displays and a session on deploying Dante networks in live events from Liam Halpin.

"Audinate is pleased to co-present a day of seminars in cooperation with PLASA at PLASA 2016," says Kieran. "The seminar day will give a great opportunity to gain a greater insight into Dante Audio Networking Technology, which has become the de-facto standard in connecting uncompressed, highly synchronous, low-latency audio network devices.

"Attendees will be able to get training that will help in taking the Dante Certified exams, discover how some of the largest live productions have used Dante to deliver audio, in combination with rich control all over a standards-based IP network, get hands on with Dante enabled equipment provided by our sponsor manufacturers, ask questions, and experiment with setups at our table top demo sessions.

"The seminar is suitable for all sound engineers, commissioning engineers, installed and live sound systems designers, and consultants. There will be ample opportunity to ask questions to audio networking experts in private and also in the public forums."

The free-to-attend seminar is guaranteed to be extremely popular. Prospective attendees can register by visiting www.plasashow.com/seminars"
