The Cadac CM-J50 at Paradise - Billy Fury 40th Anniversary Concert at Liverpool Empire Theatre

UK - The PLASA Show 2024 sees the UK debut of Cadac Consoles’ CM-J50 digital audio mixing console. Following the company's recent announcement of its shift to UK-based manufacturing, Cadac Consoles will showcase the CM-J50 on Stand E85 alongside Precision Audio Solutions, who played a pivotal role in the CM-J50’s international Beta test programme, and UK speaker manufacturer Inspired Audio.

Andi Churchill, managing director of Precision Audio Solutions, comments: “Before taking the CM-J50 out on the road, we spent six months testing it rigorously in our warehouse - everything from identifying software quirks to bouncing it around the car park, loading and unloading it from vans, and transporting it across the country. Despite Cadac's challenge to 'break it’, the CM-J50 withstood everything we threw at it.

“Over the past 18 months it’s been used on over 250 shows, primarily with bands, as well as with the English Philharmonic Orchestra, handling up to 56 input channels and delivering monitor mixes from FoH; so really putting the console through its paces.”

James Godbehear, Cadac Consoles’ director of marketing and business operations, elaborates: “We’re really excited to be able to show the CM-J50 on our home turf and see the reaction it gets. Being on the stand with Precision Audio adds an extra dimension, as it gives visitors the chance to put questions to someone who has used the console in the real world.”
