UK - The PLASA Show (Earls Court, London, 10-13 September 2006) is now welcoming nominations for the popular PLASA Awards for Innovation, which will once again form a major attraction at the event this year. At last year's show, no less than 68 nominated products covering various product areas within lighting, audio, staging and AV, were displayed on the Innovation Gallery, which is sponsored by Lighting&Sound International magazine and situated right at the entrance to Earls Court's ground floor.

Judged on the grounds of their 'Innovation' alone, the nominated products are closely assessed by a panel of expert industry practitioners, chaired by L&SI magazine's Technical Editor, James Eade. There are nine awards available in total - eight Awards for Innovation of equal standing, plus an Award for Environmental Impact, which recognizes the product that best addresses issues of environmental concern in its design and implementation.

Awards nominees will be featured in pre-PLASA Show publicity over the coming weeks and months, while the winners will be prominently featured in the October issue of Lighting&Sound International. Nominations carry an entry fee of £200, and the money raised will be presented to a number of charities during the Awards presentation, which will take place in the Central Bar area of the Show on Monday 11th September at 6.00pm.

Nomination forms are available to PLASA Show exhibitors only via the Online Exhibitors' Manuals, or directly from PLASA Media, via the e-mail address provided below.
