UK - Denon Professional, Marantz Professional and Denon DJ, represented by D&M Business & Professional Group (Europe), will be introducing a total of eight new products at the forthcoming PLASA09 show in September.

D&M Professional will be launching the DN-V500BD blu-ray disc player, and introducing the DN-F Series of solid state audio players (comprising the DN-F300, DN-F400 and RC-F400), the DN-S700 CD/MP3 player; DN-HC5000 and HC1000S media controllers, DN-HP500 headphones and DN-X1700 digital mixer.

PLASA09 marks the worldwide launch of the DN-V500BD. The first blu-ray disc player for professional applications, it has full RS232 control for integration with control systems, such as AMX and Crestron, offering the flexibility to satisfy many audio visual applications from retail point of sale displays to visitor attractions and corporate presentations.

The DN-F300 1U audio media player can utilise a SD(HC) card or connect via USB to devices such as an HDD, pen drive or iPod, giving users access to a range of sources. There are two mic inputs for additional functions like paging, an IR receiver for remote control access to volume and pitch control, as well as cue, instant start, pitch control, pitch bend and tempo lock features for more creative applications such as DJ'ing.

The DN-F400 is a simple 1U solid state audio player running an SD card. Suitable for 'set and forget' installations, such as BGM for call centre telephone systems, playback modes are set on rear panel switches, front panel control buttons can be 'locked', and there is an OLED (organic LED) for status display. There are also external remote control options available via RS232 or GPIO port for more complex venue applications.

The DN-S700 is an entry level compact tabletop CD/MP3 player sporting many features from Denon's flagship professional models, including advanced MP3 functionality for easy file search and selection, CD text display, auto or manual BPM, 3 onboard FX, three pitch ranges, two hot start and loop controls, fader start, and pitch bend available on buttons and jog wheel to enhance performance creativity.

The DN-HC5000 is a rackmount digital DJ system developed to work with Serato's ITCH software. Benefiting from Serato's HIDI technology to improve speed and software/hardware communication, the DN-HC5000 is a USB 2.0 MIDI controller with built-in 24-bit soundcard, compatible for use with both PC and MAC.

The rackmount DN-HC1000S is a MIDI sub controller designed to interface with Serato Scratch LIVE. The unit offers simple plug 'n play operation via USB connectivity, and replaces the cumbersome PC keyboard with a set of dedicated controls.

The DN-HP500' are entry-level DJ headphones with 1300mW input power, 40mm driver, 40 ohms impedence, 103dB output, 10-28kHz frequency response, 90 degree swivel mechanism, with comfortable ear pad and headband for prolonged periods of use.

Engineered to provide every facility professional DJs require - whether working with vinyl, CD, digital files, laptops and USB storage devices - the recently launched DN-X1700 is a four-channel tabletop mixer with rubberised knobs, 60mm Alps K Series channel faders, 45mm FLEX cross fader, a colour LCD display, extended 24-point LED channel and output metering, and LED ring metering around the control knobs.

"It is fantastic to see the Denon portfolio burgeoning with new products that diversify and advance the brand," says D&M business & professional group (Europe)'s managing director, Bob Goleniowski. "The array of new models on display at PLASA09 is the result of a combination of two things: listening to our customers and innovating technology. We look forward to taking them to the market and trail-blazing the way with more launches in the near future."
