The ROBIN 300 Plasma Spot - the first of the plasma lamp based fixtures from Robe - offers a colour rendering index (CRI) of 94, an extremely flat and even light beam (1.3 : 1) and a lifespan of 10,000 hours, say Robe. The new plasma lamp source offers an electronic dimming capacity from 100 - 20% and a semi-hot restrike function (of less than 120th of a second for full lamp brightness to return after shutting off). Other features include a 10-40° zoom, CMY+CTO, nine static and seven rotating gobos, colour wheel with seven colours, three-facet rotating prism, variable frost, iris and many more.
The ROBIN 300 Plasma Wash is the latest addition to the ROBIN range, using the LIFI ENT 31-02 plasma lamp source. It also offers a CRI of 94 and 10,000 hours average lamp life; other features include a 10-35° zoom, a correlated colour temperature (CCT) of 6000K and onboard effects including smooth, fast colour mixing, CMY and CTO dichroic colour flag system, and a colour wheel with seven replaceable trapezoid shaped dichroics and open position.
The new ROBIN 300E Beam fixture, which is designed for precise key lighting, highlighting and special effects. Using a Philips MSD Gold 300/2 MiniFastFit lamp, it offers a beam angle of 1.6-6.5°, and features a dichroic glass reflector for maximising the light output.
The ROBIN 300E Spot is a compact, powerful and energy conscious fixture, say Robe: the onboard modular features package includes a large 10-40° zoom, CMY+CTO, static and rotating gobo wheels, colour wheel, frost, iris and many more including the new innovative remote hot-spot control. It's "a neat, punchy profile fixture with superior functions that is ideal for a wide range of applications," say Robe.
A full package of seven rotating and nine static gobos plus full CMY+CTO and colour wheels give a standard base for any show. Advanced features like variable frost, linear iris, rotating prism and speedy mechanical shutters provide subtle and detailed fine-tuning.
Finally in the ROBIN range, the ROBIN 300E Wash offers a wide and even wash of colours over a large area, from "a quiet and unobtrusive fixture", say Robe. A flexible, lightweight, silent unit with a wide zoom of 4-40°, its compact dimensions make it easy to conceal. The enhanced CMY+CTO system mixes real colour correction quickly and accurately. The 7+1 colour wheel with its easily replaceable magnetic positions can spin rainbow effects at both high and low speeds, the company says. It also features the new innovative remote hot-spot control combined with an "extremely fast" iris to deliver maximum lumen output at any beam angle.
Completing Robe's current 700 Series range of products, the ColorBeam 700E AT is a special beam effect offering a tight, punchy, powerful beam with an angle ranging from 1.5-6.5° - for additional flexibility, the company says. The ColorSpot 1200E AT profile, meanwhile, is a brand new version of the flagship ColorSpot 1200E AT series, with inbuilt modular framing shutters. These enable the fixture to be used like any standard profile discharge light source, when precise framing and pin-pointing of objects and areas onstage is required. It will be of great interest for theatrical applications and TV productions, say Robe.
Also new from Robe at PLASA are three high-powered LED products - the CitySource 96. CitySkape 48 and CitySkape Xtreme.
