UK - PMC has announced its collaboration with Digidesign in the production of the new RMS Series of professional Active Monitors.

The new RMS range is launched with the RM1 and RM2, utilising PMC's ATL technology to deliver high - definition audio with accurate bass response. Both systems feature a revolutionary, onboard digital signal processing (DSP) engine that manages a variety of tasks, bass port emulation, multifrequency limiting and multi layered crossovers. Both monitors are designed with proprietary drivers, digital electronics, power amp and cabinet engineering to provide tonal accuracy, low distortion, stunning clarity and "incredible" dynamic range.

The RM1 is designed for project studios, editing suites, home studios and mobile production vehicles, whereas the RM2 is big on power, making it suitable for mixing suites, post production facilities and broadcast installations.

Miles Roberts, director at PMC comments, "It was a privilege to be asked to collaborate in this project, our two companies working together have produced what are probably the world's finest compact active monitors."Jed Allen, Digidesign European sales director adds, "We are delighted with the collaboration between Digidesign and PMC in the creation of the Digidesign RMS monitors and it enhances the great relationship that we have already with PMC in Europe."
