The Eurocom product range was developed over a period of two years by Behringer's engineering and product management team "in an effort to bring true innovation to an otherwise neglected product segment".
"We invested heavily in new, green technologies in order to build the most energy-efficient electronics the installed sound industry has ever seen," commented Costa Lakoumentas, the line's chief architect.
Eurocom products span the range from utility integrated amplifiers to digital automixers, DSP powered and Ethernet controlled power amplifiers and nearly 30 different models of loudspeakers from in-ceiling to front-of-house configurations. Designed to work together as a family, this line-up allows integrators to successfully deploy systems found in a variety of venues including retail, hospitality, performing arts, worship and sports.
Commenting on the appointment, global VP of sales for the Music Group, Paul Wright, said, "We're delighted to enter into this relationship with Polar Audio. This is a very important new venture for Music Group. We have invested over two years of development time and incredible resources into producing the initial Eurocom line. What we have delivered is the industry's most innovative and forward-looking commercial install product range, and yet another benchmark in our drive to deliver outstanding solutions to our ever expanding user-base. We look forward to a long and fruitful relationship with Polar Audio."
Polar Audio's MD John Midgley added, "We're very excited by the potential that Eurocom offers. This range sits well in the core areas of our business and we can see the opportunity that exists for both companies to work closely together and develop our growing aspirations in this important and consistently expanding area of the market."
