UK - A PLASA Member audio company has been approached by a company identifying itself as Paola Getti Holdings in the Isle of Man, asking for details of the company's products. In this case, the request was for copies of the manufacturer's web pages to be faxed to Paola Getti Holdings, as they were currently without internet access - the return fax number was, of course, a premium-rate number.According to the UK-based website, Fraud Central ( www.fraudcentral.org.uk), Paola Getti Holdings is well known for this scam, which also takes the form of requesting a return telephone call, also on a premium rate number.
