- Details
Over the last seven months PRG has been working closely with newly formed Production Zync Entertainment, on the delivery and execution of a range of television, music, sport and live projects, from studio to arena across Europe, the US, and the UK.
PRG has provided Production Zync with a fully supported ‘one stop shop’ technical production solution across multiple territories, including equipment, crew, transportation, logistics, and pre-visualisation support.
With sites in London and Los Angeles, Production Zync combines production lighting design and complete production solutions, with technical provision.
The label was jointly founded by ITV’s former head of scenic and lighting (The London Studios) Dave Stevens, and production & lighting designer / director of production Steff Jones. Dave serves as managing director, with Jones as creative director & director of production.
The label specialises in the design, management, execution and delivery of the A to Z in production from inception to execution of TV shows, to international tours and music videos, to one-off bespoke live projects and events.
Dave spent almost 30 years at ITV’s The London Studios where he headed up lighting and scenic across some of ITV’s biggest and most high profile shows, such as Ant and Dec’s Saturday Night Takeaway and The Graham Norton Show, plus music specials with artists such as Adele Take That, Kylie Minogue & Lionel Ritchie.
Jones has designed and delivered a diverse range of projects across TV, music, sport, and live as a production lighting designer and director of production. He has also worked with record labels Sony Music, Syco Music, and Universal, along with leading artists such as Emile Sande, Sam Smith, Michael Bubble, Demi Lovatto, Ellie Goulding, and Calvin Harris.
Production Zync’s tour management division is headed up by AJ Sutherland, whosecredits include works on <I<Britain and America’s Got Talent.
Since March 2019, Production Zync has worked on projects in Los Angeles, Las Vegas, New York, New Orleans, Dallas, Paris, Barcelona, Chicago, Washington D.C, Madrid, Wales, Northern Ireland, and London.
Production Zync worked with PRG’s London Music account manager Gemma Oldfield with input from PRG’s head of event services Rich Gorrod on the coordination and planning of projects across the UK and Europe.
Production Zync’s managing director, Dave Stevens says: “Six months ago, we were on the look out for a leading technical production provider who had the global footprint to service our shows, who could provide quality, consistency, planning detail, onsite show support, and reliability, and PRG certainly brought that to the table.”
In the United States, they worked with various teams assigned by PRG’s CEO of Music Randy Hutson, which ranged between PRG Chicago, Los, Angeles, Madrid, and New York.
Steff Jones comments: “From a creative standpoint, one of the most important factors for me when working with supplying partners is getting the quality and support that I need during pre-production to help make my vision, ideas, designs, a reality (often with a short lead time). This is often through adapting equipment lists to match production budgets without compromising creativity. PRG do this brilliantly.”
