PRG account manager Roy Hunt was pleased to supply Live Nation with a moving light rig. Working with celebrated lighting designer Dan Hardiman (Moby, Goo Goo Dolls, McFly, UB40), PRG supplied a mix of VL3000 and VL3500 Spots, VL3500 Washes and Clay Paky Sharpy's to illuminate the stage.
Dan Hardiman commented, "The core element of the show is the backlit backdrop; a multi layer device that has the band's album artwork printed onto fabric downstage of a sharks-tooth gauze with the band's logo appliqued onto it to form a giant gobo. This is backlit by two trusses of ColorBlaze 72s and Atomics. I am very happy with how this works, as neither myself, or Amy (Evanescence front woman), feel that video suits the live show and we have achieved a bold, theatrical, organic, yet dynamic center piece to the show that still has people coming to FOH afterwards and asking how we did it.
"After meeting different productions daily worldwide, and having just returned from four weeks of touring South America, it was a relief to return to the UK and use PRG. Even though it was a fairly short run of shows, we knew that their professionalism and attention to detail would make it seem that we had been touring this rig for months."
The tour was project managed by PRG's Matt Ilott and crew chief was Ivan Ellison. The show was operated by Dan Hardiman using a WholeHog 3.
