Turbosound and Proel Group Company has appointed this specialist team to focus on marketing the UK loudspeaker company's expanding portfolio of professional audio products to the Italian market.
Effective from 1 September 2009, a new distribution agreement means that the Italian live production and audio installation markets will see a noticeable increase in the profile, supply and technical support of Turbosound's innovative ranges of loudspeaker systems.
Staff from the Proel Group Professional Division - together with Italian rental companies Hollywood Service and Lovato - visited Turbosound's factory in August for product training, and also took in a product demo at London's Music Bank rehearsal studios, and an Ian Brown show with Flex Array at the O2 Academy, Oxford to experience the Turbosound systems at work.
"It was an extremely successful few days, allowing us to familiarise everyone with our history, product development and marketing activities, and it means that we can quickly kick-start the Professional Division's sales momentum," says Turbosound sales director Dominic Harter.
The sentiment is backed up by Gianluca Farina, who heads up Proel Group Professional. "Meeting the Turbosound team and working with the products in both the pristine setting of the factory and the working environments of Music Bank as well as a live gig was an extremely worthwhile exercise," says Farina.
"We are already familiar with Turbosound's products, because it's a Proel Group Company, but the visit provided a unique opportunity to gain an intimate insight into the many advantages of adding Turbosound to the range of brands that Proel distributes in Italy."
Simon Blackwood, Turbosound managing director adds: "Appointing Proel Group Professional to distribute our products in Italy makes perfect sense. The two companies already have a very close relationship on many levels, and we are confident that this new arrangement will bring major benefits to Italian rental companies and end users in terms of unsurpassed product knowledge and ease of access to Turbosound's engineers.
"It also provides obvious benefits to both us and the Proel Group, so we are looking forward to a close and successful working relationship with the new division and enjoying the benefits of being partnered with one of the foremost distribution companies."
The Proel Group Professional Division also recently announced the Italian Distribution of Beyerdynamic, in addition to the other professional sector brands: Acronn, Sagitter, Axiom and Edge.
