The first show was a 3,000-ticket concert for a Société Générale convention, by Blankass, La Grande Sophie and Dahlia, at Le Zenith de Paris, staged in collaboration with production company Remote. The system was configured with 20 W8LC cabinets and 18 Sub 18RR subwoofers, supplemented by four Renkus-Heinz Synco Touring System (RH-STS) MH cabinets and six RH-STS Lows.
The bands themselves had their first experience of the Synco Network's proprietary low profile CW152 stage monitors. This two-way coaxial (15" and 2") active wedge, exclusive to Synco Network members, provides true point source performance, with outstanding resolution and tonal clarity.
At the Zénith the system was mixed through a Midas XL3 at front-of-house with an XL250 for monitors, while the Olympia show saw a Yamaha DM2000 serving both FOH and monitor duties.
The company also provided technical support, along with 24 W8LC, six RH-STS Combi, eight RH-STS 215 subs, 20 Sub 18 RR and four Renkus-Heinz RFX121s, for Louis Bertignac, former guitarist of top French band Téléphone, at the Olympia, for a 2550 strong audience.
RégieTek director Laurent Maestre said: "It was a complete success for our first experience of the line array, and the Synco wedges on stage provided a real comfort for the artists discovering these new monitors. Discrete and powerful, the musicians were very happy with their precision and quick equaliser settings - it's a very easy to work with, small, very loud, top-level wedge, and complements our new PA system very well indeed."
