UK - The Bedford Corn Exchange complex has upgraded its sound reinforcement with systems based around the RCF TT+ range installed by JAP Sound.

"The initial inquiry came in nearly two years ago, Marcello Quartarone said that they wanted a line array system in the main hall. So we started looking around to see what was available on the market. We demonstrated a couple of very good systems but still didn't quite get the one he needed. At this time RCF's Greg Oliver introduced us the new TT+ range," says JAP Sound's Jason Price.

They decided to demonstrate the new subs and top boxes to get a feel for the voicing and general overall sound of the system. Quartarone decided on a pair of subs and top boxes to use as a portable system. The result was, that liking the voicing of the TT+ boxes and knowing that the line array was voiced the same way, he made the decision to invest in an RCF TT+ line array system.

Jason Price continues, "We'd demonstrated the line array system from the word go, mainly on outdoor events such as firework displays, theme parks and live events, so we were comfortable with what it could do. We did a number of demos in the main concert hall and Marcello was satisfied that it would do the job. Luckily, working with someone who has a good knowledge of pro audio, Marcello was able to indicate just how he'd like the rig positioned. Since it's installation, the system has been used on a great variety of production, from traditional pantomime, to an ABBA tribute band.

Greg Oliver adds, "Marcello was very clear with what he wanted to achieve with the sound in the Bedford Corn Exchange and after a few visits and trying the system for one of the touring acts he was more than happy with the results. In total I think the Bedford Corn Exchange has taken delivery of nearly every product in the TT+ Product range which is great for RCF, and this year the TT+ product sales have gone from strength to strength and installations in venues like this play a major part in the product recognition in the touring arena."
