The awards are an outstanding marketing and promotional opportunity for nominees and winners. Finalists and winners are featured in Protocol, multiple press releases distributed to industry media, on the ESTA website, and at the LDI show and ESTA Dinner.
Contestants for the 2009 awards showcased a wide variety of new products and product applications from the simplest problem solver to complex uses of technology that extended the boundaries of the entertainment technology field. Project nominations showcased everything from the lighting of the Grand Mosque to the staging of the Democratic National Convention and highlighted the collaborative nature of our industry.
Nominations may be made by anyone in the industry, but an ESTA Member must be involved as the designer, manufacturer, supplier, or collaborator. This is your chance to tell us what's rocked your world recently. It could be something you saw at a trade show, read about in an industry magazine, or experienced at a performance you attended. It could also be something your company created. Nominations for the 2010 awards must have been introduced to market or taken place between 1 October 2008 and 30 June 2010 and must not have been previously nominated. Nominations close Thursday, 1 July 2010.
A panel of judges, including well-known industry veterans and rising young stars gets to have all the fun determining the winners. The finalists will be announced in early September and the winners will be announced at ESTA's annual dinner on 21 October 21, the evening before the LDI show opens.
