UK - After some 20 years of working together, the directors of DHA and Rosco have announced DHA has transferred all assets, staff and services to Roscolab Ltd. The alliance came about as a result of strategic development discussions during which it became apparent that both companies could benefit from being a stronger, united force.

The combined statement announcing the deal said: "Culturally, DHA and Rosco are a natural fit, bringing together the best of product innovation and customer service. They know that investment in processes, production and people is necessary in order to maintain their position as market leaders in the supply of gobos and projection solutions and they are determined to move the gobo business forward in the coming months and years. Together Rosco and DHA have the expertise, reputation and product range to explore new markets and develop new territories that would otherwise have been much more challenging."

DHA Lighting Services managing director, Diane Grant commented: "DHA is close to my, Wyatt and David's hearts and this is not a move we made lightly. However, in today's competitive world, it is our belief that this strategic alliance will enable us to capitalize on the positive steps we have taken in recent years and to accelerate our growth and development. Every one of our staff has moved across to Rosco and it is this transfer of expertise, in combination with Rosco's capabilities and resources, which will allow us to enhance both our product range and service levels."

DHA's founder, David Hersey commented, "This alliance ensures that both companies can play to their strengths from here on. I think the next chapter in DHA's story will be very exciting - even as a spectator not a participant."

Rosco says its management team is "delighted with the new addition. Kees Frijters, vice-president of European Operations for Rosco said: "I am proud of the fact that the two companies have successfully negotiated and implemented this significant agreement and can't wait to start exploiting our new opportunity to grow the gobo and projection business."

Stan Miller, Rosco's chief executive said: "David and I began working together 20 years ago, and I guess this has been the longest tryout run ever. By consolidating the companies we will better utilize our greatest assets - our outstanding people - to focus on growth."

There is much work to be done in the coming weeks culminating in a premises move for DHA's London-based staff. The senior management team is excited and optimistic that the resulting organization will be an experienced, dynamic and committed collection of people delivering first class gobo and projection services throughout the world.
