Switzerland - Schertler has added to its range of high-quality acoustic amplifiers with the release of GIULIA Y. The new two-channel, ultra-compact amp retains many of the features from its single-channel predecessor, GIULIA, while introducing enhanced circuitry and a new "look" that heralds the next generation of Schertler amplifier technology.

Designed for use in small venues, home studios, or as a practice amp, GIULIA Y offers 50W of bi-amplified power. The amp is equipped with a 5" woofer and 1" dome tweeter and has a frequency response of 80Hz-18kHz. Its inputs accommodate XLR and 1/4" Jack connectors making it compatible with a wide range of microphones including Schertler's DYN and STAT series, as well as the BASIK universal pickup. Phantom power (48V and 10V) is provided. Inputs can also be used for guitars or other high level line sources, with the amplifier's intelligent electronics automatically adapting to suit.

GIULIA Y features a 3-band EQ and Warm low-pass filter to generate a warmer sound when the amp is used with bridge-mounted pickups. A high-quality, built-in digital reverb (controlled via potentiometer) is also included and a separate Insert socket enables the connection of an external dynamics processor or a volume pedal. Separate Line and DI outputs allow the amplifier to be connected to a mixer, subwoofer or other external device.

Robustly built and featuring a sleek wood finish, GIULIA Y's low weight (6.3kg) and compact dimensions (27x18x28cm) make it easy to transport, set up and store. A custom carry bag is also available.
