The event was organised by Sennheiser's Strategic Collaborations manager - EMEA Phil Cummings and brought together a host of guests from the music and entertainment industries to hear a range of material from Nellie's new album, which is due for release later this year.
Sennheiser e945 microphones were deployed for Nellie's vocal, with her band utilising ew 300G3 in ear monitors. The loudspeaker system comprised a K-array 402 system.
A number of students from the university's Music and Live Event Management course were on hand to help run the event, along with successful alumni from previous years Rob Faull, who is now working in tour management and production, and Gemma Robinson, collaborations manager - EMEA at Sennheiser. Students from the Film Production course were also in attendance to film and record the evening.
Bucks' first year students Harry Farnfield, who is studying Music Management and Artist Development, and Daniel Morrell, studying Music Management and Studio Production, performed with Nellie in her band, alongside producer, composer and Tabla player Talvin Singh who guested on Nellie's track You Are Real.
"The Hospital Club showcase was a highlight of the recent and very successful collaboration between Nellie Bell, Sennheiser and Bucks students and staff," said Teresa Moore, head of music and event management at Bucks New Uni. "It's a great example of the way we work closely with the industry and artists to give our students the most innovative and industry focussed learning experiences we can."
"It was a great evening and showcased the importance of Sennheiser working hard with emerging artists, helping them to build a platform for their careers," added Phil Cummings. "Working with someone as talented as Nellie makes our job very rewarding. The show sounded amazing and the whole production was extremely well done. The students involved got a great insight into a real life show by working with the team and artist. They all did a wonderful job."
