From now until 17 July, proposals for sound logos can be uploaded directly onto the website below. Each entrant can upload a maximum of five tracks in MP3 format (stereo, 128, 192or 256kb/s, max 10MB). There is no optimum length for a sound logo, but audio tracks definitely shouldn't be any longer than eight seconds.
In August, 30 finalists will be chosen from all the submissions. At the end of the month, these thirty tracks will be placed before the public in an online vote and an international jury for voting. Four specially selected jurors, including Professor Jorg Sennheiser and Jon Thornton from Liverpool Institute for the Performing Arts, plus a fifth voice made up of the public vote, will determine the winner, which will be announced at the beginning of September.
The winner will receive a prize of 5,000 Euros plus any applicable value added tax, plus an optional 30,000 Euros, should Sennheiser choose to acquire the unlimited global user rights to the sound logo. Nine additional runners-up will be able to choose their prize between a pair of high-end Sennheiser HD 650 headphones and a G2 evolution wireless Set 300.
