From the end of July until mid-August, Shure UK's offices will be manned from 8am to 8pm daily, with an extended last order deadline for next day delivery and a wider window for collections from the company's headquarters in Waltham Abbey. As an additional measure, Shure Distribution UK's applications team will be on hand 24 hours a day, seven days a week, with technical support and advice, on- and off-site.
"No-one can predict the exact impact of the games on trade," comments Peter James, managing director of Shure Distribution UK. "However, there is little doubt that we will all experience some form of disruption. Our customers expect prompt and predictable delivery of items from UK stock, together with exceptional support, and we have taken steps to ensure this is not compromised. In addition to the changes in operating hours, we have increased inventory to reduce dependency on incoming deliveries."
"We're supporting many companies involved in the UK's sporting summer, as we do every year," explains Tuomo Tolonen, Shure UK's applications and product planning manager, "and of course we recognise that these companies are going to be working long hours over the next few weeks to ensure that all of the live installations and broadcast events run smoothly from July to September. We intend that our extended opening hours and 24/7 availability of the Applications team will be a help to our customers, together with our convenient location near to the main venues."
