Italy - The steering committee of the SILB (Italian Dancehall Owners Syndicate) has formally authorized chairman Renato Giachetto to officially sign an agreement with Rimini Fiera SpA for the SIB biennial international exhibition for event and entertainment technology, which will see the SIB exhibition remain in Rimini for the next 14 years.

Contrary to what was previously reported, following the 2006 event, the next edition of SIB is scheduled to be held at Rimini expo centre from 6-9 April 2008. Rimini Fiera chairman Lorenzo Cagnoni commented: "Yesterday we announced the important agreement with TEN, a network of 50 large companies in this sector (lighting, audio and video, décor and theatre stage equipment and sets, musical instruments, industrial design firms, design studios, training, research) which has officially chosen SIB for developing its members' business.

Today, we are really pleased to announce the conclusion of this agreement with the SILB.These two operations officially re-assert something we have always stressed - the absolute centrality and leadership of SIB and the ideal match of our location, as far as both the expo venue and the surrounding area are concerned, with market requirements and expectations.

The agreement with the SILB is a decisive part of the development and innovation strategy involving our expo, for which - as has already been announced - combinations with new trade show events are being considered, as is the launch of a consumer event we intend organizing directly in Rome's new expo centre, on alternate years with Rimini's SIB."
