The loudspeaker management system consists of four BSS Audio 9088 Soundwebs (processing the JBL AE series Left/Centre/Right cluster). Soundweb also handles the speaker delay taps and EQ processing in an auditorium which seats 1,300 people. In an all-Harman Pro line up, Crown CTs series amplifiers power the system, and the FOH mixer is a Soundcraft MH4.
Ace was also responsible for providing the theatre lighting, with the conventional lighting controlled by ADB. The generics include profiles and fresnels while Clay Paky provide the moving lights, used in combination with some local fixtures and controlled by an MA Lighting desk.
Ace has also completed an installation at the Xian People's Hotel, in China's ancient capital. Completed during the Chinese New Year, Ace installed the entire sound system in the People's Hall. The Russian-influenced architecture is a feature of the building, which operated purely as a hotel prior to its recent refurbishment, and conversion into an 800-seat public hall.
ACE worked to a specification and design set out by the Beijing Broadcast Bureau Acoustic Designer Institute, who produced the tender document. They have deployed five BSS Audio 9088iiLL Soundwebs to manage the speaker system, which comprises a JBL AE6000, dividing up the system into a Left/Centre/Right cluster configuration. Also programmed into the Soundwebs are all the delay times and EQ parameters for the venue.
The system is powered by Crown CTs series amplifiers, and the FOH mixer is a Soundcraft MH3 - making all the principle components Harman Pro brands. The People's Hall will serve a multi-purpose function but will be used mainly for public conventions.
