'Dimmer-Switch' provides the ideal solution for varied lighting requirement in pubs, clubs, conference rooms, retail outlets, trade shows, museum exhibits and domestic environments. Six independent LED illuminated faders are capable of playing back a static look or a dynamic sequence with the seventh 'Grand Master' fader providing overall intensity control.
The output is DMX512 with control over all 512 channels. Housed in a two-gang wall mount panel, Dimmer-Switch has all its electronic components mounted on the rear panel so there's no need for bulky or cumbersome external control boxes. The entire system can be programmed in two ways: by using the optional 'Dim-Edit' PC software or recording DMX512 from another console.
'Dim-Edit' is a powerful application providing a streamlined programming interface with 'Dimmer-Switch'. It includes a comprehensive library of personalities for automated fixtures and can be used to programme the show both in live and blind modes. Once programmed, the completed show is downloaded to 'Dimmer-Switch' via the serial port.
In multi-function venues, configuring 'Dimmer-Switch' to interface with an external DMX512 controller may be preferable. In a club with a live-band area, for example, Dimmer-Switch routes control of the 'stage lighting desk' to the dimmers when the stage is in use. After the show, Dimmer-Switch fades out the stage and fades in the mood lighting throughout the venue. Dimmer-Switch requires a 9VDC power supply, available separately.
Artistic Licence will be on stand G12 at PLASA 2005.
