To head up this new division SPS has appointed Robin Fell from Hamilton Rentals, where he was instrumental in helping develop the company to become the current leader of this sector. Fell will become head of Event IT and will responsible for devising and implementing a sales strategy that will meet the company's considerable sales target assigned for 2007.
Fell is highly well known within this sector, working for Mircorent before moving onto become PC/AV sales team leader at Hamilton Rental.
The new division has been set up in response to client demands, which often approach SPS regarding IT rental enquiries at events delivered and managed by SPS. Diversifying into this sector is a natural progression for the company. It believes its secret will be the added service it will be able to provide clients and its full understanding of the wider IT issues that companies face when running an event.
Robin Coles, managing director of SPS comments: "I have always felt that some IT rental companies think in isolation and don't necessarily see themselves as part of a larger event. This sector, to date, has really been built on a commodity model and we hope to change this way of thinking with Event IT. Robin joins us with a wealth of knowledge that I believe will allow us to take on those currently leading the field. This is a very exciting time for SPS."
Fells adds: "SPS has witnessed tremendous success in the live event sector and provide clients with exceptional events. The company understands that client requirements are its number one priority and this is its main focus. I am very excited about taking this approach to the IT rental market and believe with Event IT waves within the sector will be made."
