Singapore - Stage 4 AV, a busy rental and technical production supplier working primarily in the high-end corporate, social and lifestyle sectors, has recently invested in Astera QuikSpot wireless LED spotlights, with the purchase of 24 fixtures from Singapore distributor, Total Solution Marketing.

These were added to the company’s general lighting rental inventory because they were “the right product for our markets,” explains S. Ramesh, Stage 4 AV’s managing director, who is also responsible for equipment procurement and key client management.

Ramesh specifically wanted luminaires that looked neat and elegant and could be used effectively for tasks like illuminating tables at a gala dinner event and in scenarios where they could be deployed quickly and accurately and run without any light spillage.

QuikSpot was specifically devised by the Astera team as a highly flexible and innovative battery-powered LED fixture for busy rental companies to meet the demands of fast-paced event environments and media productions.

Ramesh explained that there is a constant demand at these events to create theatre, drama and atmosphere in the room utilising lighting on one hand, and on the other, to light tables comfortably and nicely so guests can relax and enjoy their dinner.

Stage 4 AV already have a formula for achieving this mood lighting with a combination of fixtures, but now, using QuikSpot, they can light the tables perfectly, freeing up all their other frequently used Astera fixtures – like AX9 PowerPARs and PixelBricks – lighting elsewhere around the space.

“The size, weight, zoom, brightness and barndoor feature were all winning factors for us,” confirmed Ramesh, “together with the excellent colour rendering and reliability.”

Stage 4 AV already owned a range of Astera products – including AX9s, AX3 LightDrops, Helios and Titan Tubes, and PixelBricks – so Ramesh was confident that QuikSpot would be a rock-solid, reliable choice and an excellent solution for all their event scenarios.
