These new LED fixtures are proving to be very popular and complement an additional12 new MAC 700s which were also bought as part of the company's ongoing expansion, says Stagepoint's Andy Brining. The entire stock of new equipment was used for a recent party at the ICC in Birmingham, with a design based on ITV's The X Factor program. The main feature of the set (designed and built by Stagepoint) was a custom truss 'X' supplied by Optikinetics, with the LED battens used to outline the edges. Additional battens and PixelPars were used around the set for highlights and accent lighting. Finally, Mac 700s, 600s and 300s were used to give the necessary effect lighting for the numerous acts. "The client was overwhelmed with the look of the event which was a great success all round," says Brining.
