Austria - From 23-25 August, the mountains around Kitzbühel were the setting for Hansi Hinterseer's sixth Fanwanderung, in which over 6,000 of the Austrian Volksmusik star's fans accompanied him on a hike in the mountains. Since the event is intended as a celebration of the joys not only of nature but also of music, the Fieberbrunn-based production company Murdock Music Entertainment was engaged to install sound reinforcement systems at each of the three stations at which the procession made a halt.

At the top station of the Hahnenkamm, the 1,668m mountaintop jumping-off point for the hair-raising downhill ski event, Murdock installed a system including EV Xi-2123 enclosures and Xsubs.

For the traditional mountainside mass in the Hahnenkamm chapel, EV XLD enclosures were installed. At the Ehrenbachsee, a lake at an altitude of 1,802m, Hinterseer gave a concert with his band. For this, Murdock deployed an EV XLC line-array system.

As Murdock's Stefan Gieringer points out: "Hansi Hinterseer's Fanwanderung is turning into more and more of a cult event, so the technical requirements are greater every year. Fortunately, the modular design of EV, Midas and Klark Teknik systems allows us to tailor the configuration used in each location to match the requirements"
