The Kinesys Elevation 1+ controller.
UK - Summit Steel will be exhibiting at ABTT for the first time, aiming to raise its profile within the theatre industry. The company's expansion plans include developing more relationships with theatre and performance orientated projects. "ABTT is an ideal opportunity for meeting potential clientele, illustrating our services and raising our profile in the world of theatre," says a spokesman. In addition to its range of truss, hoists, ground supports, including its SmarTmasts and rigging hardware, Summit is specifically highlighting its Kinesys Elevation movement system at the show.

The Kinesys - Vari-speed System for high capacity lifting solutions is billed as "a dynamic, fully programmable vari-speed hoist and winch control system, complimented with 32 double brake CM Lodestar Hoists capable of running at speeds of up to 21m/min." The system provides accurate, ultra controllable movement combined with high capacity lifting, and was recently in use with the ENO at the Coliseum, suspending cantilevered PA frames for the production of On the Town.

Further features include Kinesys' Vector control software for the creation and editing of multiple cues, group and single running facilities, a manual mode and programmable ramping for starts and stops.

Kinesys Elevation 1+ controller allows variable speed running and full positional control of one elevation per hoist or winch The controller is housed in a hard wearing aluminium case with multiple fixing points and industry-standard connections throughout.
