John Penn, SSE Audio Group's MD commented: "After working with Tarsin's Peter Dyer for many years, we realised the natural synergy between our two operations could lead to mutual benefit for both our businesses and customers."
Dyer becomes SSE London's contracts manager, looking after existing customer relations and developing new business, while SSE's Emma Barwell becomes operations director, responsible for the day to day running of the London warehouse and offices, which are based at Hayes in West London.
Tarsin Entertainment's clients will benefit from SSE's extensive installations experience and technical resources. With a massive sound rental stock, SSE London will be able to ensure that clients can be kept up and running during major servicing and repairs and will be able to add to their in-house installation for special events.
For new installations, SSE London will be able to tap into the Group's manufacturing and design facilities, simplifying the delivery of venue specific cabling and packaging.
Rental contracts now operated by SSE London include installations in the capital at the London Astoria, Clapham Grand, the multi-room Canvas near Kings Cross and the Pigalle Club in Piccadilly. Outside London contracts include Paparazzi in Manchester, Thirteen Degrees in Cheltenham and various venues operated by the Po Na Na brand.
The move also means that Midlands-based SSE will now have a London outlet for serving its existing rental and sales customers.
