- Details
Televideo has been involved in the outside broadcast and production industry for over 47 years. They have worked with several leading broadcasting clients including the BBC, Sky Sports, Netflix, Channel 4, Channel 5, BT Sport, and Eurosport. With recent projects including the UCI Cycling World Championships and the Royal Edinburgh Tattoo.
Management of the upcoming sale involves a three-way partnership between Walker Singleton, Hickman Shearer and CA Global Partners. Each are specialists in management and disposal of assets. They will be conducting a live and online auction of a selection of over 800 pieces of outside broadcast and TV production equipment on behalf of Hart Shaw - the administrators of Televideo Limited (in Administration) and equipment lessors.
Highlights of the assets range from outside broadcast trailers and rigid trucks to Sony and Panasonic camera channels, Vinten and Sachtler grip, EVS video servers and more. The Outside Broadcast units and monitoring including three outside broadcast trucks, a satellite uplink van and OB tender will be sold by negotiated sale and are available now via Hickman Shearer.
The equipment will be available through an online and onsite auction over a two-day period, beginning on the 19 December 2023. The catalogue of assets is now online, and items will be available to view onsite prior to the public auction.
“This sale builds on the team’s significant expertise and knowledge of the broadcasting sector and is already attracting an extensive audience of prospective buyers. Given the circumstances, it is good to be able to redistribute this equipment back into the broadcast industry for use at yet more memorable events.” said Tim Chapman, managing director of Hickman Shearer.
"The loss of any company like this is blow to the industry, as well as the local community, but by enabling the assets of the company to be bought at auction, we hope to provide others both locally and around the world with the opportunity to buy high quality equipment at a significant discount on the new price,” said Stephen Jones, director at Walker Singleton.
Dan Main, director of CA Global Partners also iterated: “We frequently see the positive impact sales of this sort of equipment can have on emerging businesses, and we know the equipment we sell from the closure of Televideo will be no exception.”
