"The DMA's are all about celebrating and acknowledging Australia's achievement in the dance music industry. The artists who perform will be reflecting the industry and where it is at today," commented Hayley Conn, producer of this year's Dance Music Awards. "3D World Publishing is really excited to be once again presenting this year's event."
The event will be hosted at Sydney's superclub, Home, and the club's 2500 capacity gives the DMA's the opportunity to open the event to the public for the first time. Home will open its doors at 7:30pm for the 2006 awards ceremony, where fans and industry VIP's will witnessperformances from the country's finest live acts and DJs.
"It's been a great year for Australian dance music, and what better way for Allen & Heath to contribute and celebrate than to be involved in the biggest dance music event of 2006," said TAG's Pro DJ marketing manager, Jamie Kaye, as he confirmed Allen & Heath as the event's major sponsor.
"Allen & Heath mixers are now achieving the profile in Australia that they have always achieved internationally. Over the past 12 months, we've seen our DJ mixers being adopted by the top Australian DJ's, the premium events, and the best clubs in the country so this is greattiming for us. At the DMA's we'll be welcoming Allen & Heath's sales director, Bob Goleniowski, who will present the 'Outstanding Contribution to Dance Music' award. In addition, there will be a live demonstration of Allen & Heath's new mixer/controller, the Xone:3D, by Sneaky Sound System and Dirty South (TBC)."
