As part of this process, Ruth Rossington will be promoted from Editor of Lighting&Sound International to executive director of the PLASA organization - a newly created role which will see her working closely alongside CEO Matthew Griffiths and finance director Shane McGreevy to ensure the Association, Media and PLASA Show teams achieve the main objectives identified in PLASA's strategic aims.
In PLASA Media, L&SI deputy editor Lee Baldock moves up to become editor of Lighting&Sound International with Barry Howse now heading up the commercial side of the Media division. A central development of the coming months will be the launch of a new commercial website - L&SI Online - which will build on the highly popular PLASA Media online news service and provide advertising and promotional opportunities.
The restructure will allow for closer liaison with our entire membership, and you will see us improving and extending the services we offer, whilst also being in touch on a more regular basis so that we can help with the day-to-day issues you face in running your businesses or developing your careers.
