At the end of the contest, The Allies' Infamous presented the prize of £2,000, the Beatdown Stanton SA5 mixer and a bunch of accessories. The Allstar Beatdown has turned into one of the most respected and prestigious of all DJ battles, drawing audiences of all ages and cultures.
As a team, The Allies have dominated every DJ battle in the world and the Stanton SA-5 2-channel battle mixer, utilizing custom Penny & Giles line faders and crossfaders, was co-designed by the Allies. Collectively holding over 14 world titles, the DJ team has made its mark not only as a DJ collective, but also as pioneers in hip-hop. In 2001, The Allies debuted The Allstar Beatdown in front of a crowd of 1,500 at the legendary Roxy nightclub in New York City. Shortly thereafter, The Beatdown began a rapid growth. In less then a year, the competition had spread to three continents, including events in Australia, England and, of course, North America, which began to draw a broader audience and more media. Today the Beatdown is a strong entity in the world of DJing. Every show in every city has sold out within the first hour of doors opening. Video sales of each event sell up to 30,000 copies worldwide.
The final word came from promoter Tony Vegas. "I just loved the whole damn thing. Congratulations to Tigerstyles, and thanks to everyone that got involved."(Sarah Rushton-Read)
