USA - At the Lightfair Show in Las Vegas (3-5 June), TMB will introduce Firefly's premium LED Marquee/Festoon lighting systems to the American market. The Firefly range offers the "old school" look of traditional Marquee/Festoon lighting without the headache of constantly changing the bulbs, the risk of broken glass, and the danger and power draw of high voltage.

Available in frosted versions in warm white, cool white, and a selection of rich, deep colours, plus the warm white 'filament' bulbs, the Firefly system runs on safe 24-volt AC or DC, with shatter-proof bulbs, making it economical to operate and virtually maintenance free. The clear V6 and V12 'Filament' bulbs will satisfy the most discerning lighting designer with a beautiful warm, vintage look and unrivalled colour temperature consistency.

Also in the Firefly range are a selection of unique flat, self-levelling IP44 Festoon cables with a variety of socket spacings, available in black or white.

Firefly originates in Australia and is the creation of lighting designer Heath Williamson, who has over 20 years' experience in architectural, film, and TV lighting.

"I wanted the fantastic look of traditional bulbs," says Heath, "but also a practical and beautiful light source. Great care is taken to choose the perfect consistent white colour temperatures, especially for the "Filament" bulbs, ensuring they have that wonderful golden tungsten look to bring out the best ambience on food, people and architectural detail.

"These lights already have a proven track record of reliable performance in the extreme conditions of Australia, with its relentless sun, wild storms, wilder music festivals, and worse, the attack of the Saturday night drunk. Firefly Festoons have been lighting up the world famous Bondi Beach; our top restaurants, night clubs, funky signage, bars, theme parks, festivals, shopping malls, film and TV sets, concerts, public spaces and streets, casinos, Christmas lighting building interiors and exteriors, even in the harsh outback conditions of Alice Springs. Even the Australian Navy relies on Firefly to decorate their ships!"

Heath adds: "Now TMB is ready to bring this wonderful product to the world, with their world famous service and backup."
