UK - TMB has confirmed its partnership with Backup Tech, the charity dedicated to supporting technical professionals, production personnel, and crew working across the live events, music touring, theatre, and broadcast industries.
As part of this initiative, 10% of all UK sales of TMB’s award-winning ProPlex CodeClock will be donated directly to Backup Tech. These funds will aid in providing crucial financial aid, wellness support and mental health resources to those working behind the scenes in the industry.
The ProPlex CodeClock is a compact, rugged timecode display and distribution unit, winner of the Gear Product of the Year Award. Its large RGB LED matrix changes colour to show status, and it receives timecode via LTC (XLR3), MIDI (DIN), or USB MIDI - or can generate LTC itself. It redistributes timecode through three transformer isolated XLR3 outputs with adjustable levels and includes an OLED screen with waveform and level monitoring. Powered via USB C with a locking retainer, it’s both portable and mountable, with optional rack and yoke accessories.
“Supporting the people who bring shows and experiences to life is what it’s all about,” said Colin Waters of TMB. “Our partnership with Backup Tech reflects TMB’s ongoing commitment to our awesome community and its well-being.”
TMB and Backup Tech share a vision of an entertainment industry where everyone - regardless of race, gender, language, religion, or sexuality - is supported, respected, and valued.
“Backup Tech stands for fairness, kindness, and understanding,” said Jess Allan, the organisation’s charity co-ordinator. “With the support of the industry and our partners, we can continue to grow the resources available to those who keep our industry running.”
