The first, the TOA D-2000 series, is an all-in-one digital mixing system that combines the functions of an auto mixing, matrix switching and signal processing. While the system's table-mounted remote console unit boasts a small footprint, the D-2000 can be expanded to comprise up to four rack processing units for a total of up to 128 audio inputs and outputs, say TOA.
CobraNet compatibility means the processing modules can be connected to a LAN for remote operation, while the D-2000 also provides interfaces directly with AMX and Crestron control protocols so that it can be smoothly integrated into multimedia conferencing and presentation systems.
A wide range of input, output and control modules is available for each rack-mount processing unit, including mono or stereo analogue microphone inputs, analogue and digital inputs and outputs, and VCA modules for connection to an optional VCA control unit.
Also new for ISE, making its European debut alongside the D-2000, is the Type C line array loudspeaker system. Based around TOA's phase wavefront control technology for superior audio clarity and uniform sound dispersion, the Type C offers a choice of 15° and 5° vertical dispersion angle modules, together with a 15" subwoofer enclosure for low-end reinforcement. Different modules can be combined together for applications where a combination of short- and long-throw coverage is required, while all three boxes are also available as IPX4-rated splash-proof enclosures.
Both mid-high modules use TOA's proprietary Sync-Drive waveguide design, and can be run in a choice of single or bi-amplified modes, depending on the application requirement. A wide variety of purpose-designed mounting brackets is available for installation flexibility, while LF and HF drivers can be quickly replaced from the rear of the enclosure if necessary.
Brett Downing, sales and marketing director at TOA Europe, comments: "TOA has always stood for application-driven technology and these new products are no exception. The launch of the D-2000 reflects the increasing need for sophisticated audio matrixing and processing in smaller venues with single or multiple rooms such as municipal and corporate conference facilities, hotels and fitness clubs. At the other end of the scale, the Type C takes our proven line-array technology into places requiring a mix of voice and music reproduction, such as lecture theatres, performing arts venues and sports halls."
Downing concludes: "We will also be making some major European business announcements at the show, and our ISE stand will be like no other in the history of TOA Europe's tradeshow activity. ISE 2010 is going to be really, really big for us. Watch this space!"
