To date, Toshiba has delivered over 120 of its P32LSA 32" LCD panel, and the airport expects to order more than 1,500, including the new P42LSA 42" pane, says Toshiba. The large-screen displays will provide critical flight, gate and baggage information, all integrated into the renovated and new terminals.
Betros Wakim, president and CEO of AirIT states, "We evaluated many LCD options and after extensive and rigourous testing, the airport chose Toshiba. And while it was important that Toshiba meet the airport's specifications, they also needed to meet AirIT's expectations as a partner in order for us to recommend them to our customer. "We needed to know that if a problem occurred, Toshiba would support us by proactively working with us to resolve any issues."
Brett Armstrong, national sales manager for Toshiba Display Systems USA, states, "We are extremely happy to have partnered with Air Transportation IT Services for Miami. AirIT is one of the fastest growing System Integration and FIDS companies in the USA; we couldn't have picked a better partner. AirIT is also taking us into many of their clients which represent a number of major airports in the country."
