The Exclusive Hotel Group - owners of Pennyhill Park - commissioned Installation Technologies Ltd (ITL) to design and supply a sophisticated personal audio system, which would provide broadcast quality sound offering background music as well as access to all broadcast media from anywhere in the Pennyhill Spa, without any visible or audible speakers. John Matcham of Installation Technologies specified Trantec's PT1 wireless system and collaborated with Trantec's engineering team from the outset. Configuring the system to meet The Exclusive Hotel Group's exacting specifications, together they overcame some logistical challenges typical in a new-build environment. In order to guarantee crystal clear signal reception, a special antennae system was specifically designed at Trantec's HQ to counteract the vast quantity of steel and other RF-unfriendly building materials deployed.
Forming the heart of the system's design, Trantec's compact wireless PT1 system comprises eight transmitters and 40 eight-channel receivers. Offering broadcast quality sound and total freedom of movement, without any loss of continuity, the PT1 system allows users to access audio on an individual basis throughout Pennyhill Spa's eight zones, including a dance studio, 28 treatment rooms, relaxation suites and a state-of the art gymnasium.
John Matcham commented: "We've deployed Trantec's microphone systems in over 300 similar installations across Europe. Trantec's engineers consistently offer enormous support -this coupled with the superb studio audio quality of the PT1 makes it the only viable product for an installation of this calibre. Additionally, as a 'wireless' system, it's not only simple to install, but can be maintained very efficiently, without disturbing the daily operating routine of a facility."
For over a decade Trantec has been applauded for their commitment to creating radio products that continue to push boundaries and provide audio solutions for the most challenging contemporary applications - making Trantec synonymous with quality and innovation.
