The fifth annual event took place at the Warsaw University of Technology in front of an international audience of 2,000, and since the special guest of honour was to be Olli-Pekka Kallasvuo, president and CEO of Nokia Corporation, Christie partner Trias devised a novel concept, using full 360° degree projection onto the walls, along with 3D holography.
To accomplish this they called on a Christie S+20K SXGA with the addition of two other stacked pairs offering 10,000 lumen output, a total of seven projectors were able to provide stunning projections onto the walls of the University: "Using the latest multimedia solutions and advanced technologies we were able to create an exciting and versatile presence within the Congress," said Trias project manager Maciej Clapíski.
But he emphasised that the real showstopper was the 3D holography and performance of the DS+8K. Trias was the first company in Poland to specialise in holography - one of the most precise methods of creating three-dimensional reality. "Holography offers a large array of three-dimensional images or illusions and holograms can be small to life-size, solid or transparent, static or kinetic, single or multi-coloured," said Maciej. "The DS+8K brought all this to life."
In addition, 25 plasma screens placed under the transparent plexiglass floor, created vibrant and intense visual effects, while a high resolution indoor LED display, on a specially designed sliding construction, created additional impact from the centre of the stage.
The presentation of the multi-media shows was synced using Wings Platinum multi-display software, while Folsom Screen Pro, a multi-layer video display, produced some sophisticated effects, switching signals from a Datavideo SE-800 that mixed images from four HDV film cameras.
Maciej Clapíski, says: "This event typified Trias' ability to supply the most advanced, comprehensive and innovative multimedia solutions available today."
