The long-awaited relocation and purchase of the property has been necessitated by steady and consistent growth over the last 19 years, and can be seen as an endorsement of the group’s confidence in the UK film and television industry. The philosophy behind the new building’s design is to offer filmmakers and technicians the ultimate facilities for preparing, testing and planning their projects.
The new four-acre Highbridge HQ site will consist of three buildings totalling 75,000sq.ft, containing warehousing and offices, as well as meeting rooms, consumable shop, viewing theatre and even an equipment museum. The increased space will be of particular importance to the rental companies who have aspirations to take on even more ambitious projects in the future. Careful consideration was given to the choice of location, with Uxbridge being finally selected thanks to its excellent transport links and close proximity to Central London, Heathrow, the M40, M25 and M4 motorways, as well as the major studios at Pinewood, Shepperton, Twickenham, Ealing and Bray.
ARRI Lighting Rental is operational as of October 7, 2002, with ARRI (GB) and ARRI Media operational from November 11, 2002.
