Allen & Heath will also be co-sponsoring the VIP Ultrabeach Arena with the Hard Rock Café. The stage will feature top DJs spinning day and night, including Andy Rigby-Jones, the designer of Allen & Heath's Xone products. Rigby-Jones is an established DJ with over 20 years' experience. The VIP Ultrabeach Arena will also serve as a preview of the Ultrabeach Party planned for summer 2004 in Miami. The PA system will be supplied by the UK's renowned Opus Audio.
Ultrafest's two main stages will each feature Allen & Heath's new cutting-edge Xone:92 mixer, which incorporates the advanced features and sound manipulation tools demanded by today's professional DJs. Allen & Heath Xone:V6 and Xone:62 DJ mixers will be provided for all other stages, with a Xone:02 stereo pro turntablist DJ mixer for the hip-hop arena. Allen & Heath has incorporated a MIDI output on the new Xone:92, offering users the ability to manipulate virtually any piece of outboard MIDI equipment from voltage-controlled fader and filter controls on the mixer surface. For additional sound manipulation, the Xone:92 incorporates two LFOs, with a tap-tempo feature and two independent filter systems, as well as a new, highly creative four-band EQ.
Nick Assunto, Ultrafest production manager and designer, stated: "I have total confidence in the Allen & Heath Xone mixers, as they sound great. The new Xone:92 is a very exciting prospect, and I am delighted that it will make its American debut at Ultra Music Festival USA."
Leading artists appearing at this year's Ultrafest include established Allen & Heath mixer users Richie Hawtin, John Digweed, Sasha, D:Fuse, Grayarea, Deepsky, Infusion, Dieselboy, Dara, AK 1200, Sander Kleinenberg and Sen-Sei.
