"We were one of the beta test sites for the prototype FP 10000Q amplifiers during summer 2006," says Björn Lehnberg, branch manager, Audio, United Audio Starlight. "And our engineers and road crews were astonished by the new 4-channel monster. In our application, one FP 10000Q can replace two fP6400s so we halve the weight and halve the space taken up. These factors alone made the decision to replace our entire inventory very attractive."To help make the change over as swift as possible, United Audio Starlight chose to utilise their existing racks as a short-term measure. During the Spring they will be repackaging the new FP 10000Qs in truly space saving rack configurations.
Lehnberg continues, "Our LAB 4000 and fP 6400 models are still great amps and have been utterly reliable for many, many years. Lab.gruppen products are very well respected and therefore retain their value. We can pass them on to new users with a clear conscience and at an attractive price for all concerned. Lab.gruppen amplifiers have shown one of the best returns on investment of any of our sound reinforcement purchases."
The Lab.gruppen FP 10000Q delivers 4 x 2100 W at 4 ohms or 4 x 2500 W at 2 ohms. The amplifier weighs 12 kg in a 2RU chassis and comes NomadLink network-ready as standard. NomadLink offers comprehensive amplifier monitoring and control. The new FP+ Series effectively allows more than a 50% reduction in rack space measured against the popular fP Series amplifiers .
