UK - Utopium Lighting Ltd recently used their force in staging the UK premiere of Revenge of the Sith - the latest and last of the Star Wars movies. AD Events contracted Utopium Lighting Ltd, who requested lighting designer Chris Bushell and project manager James Maillardet to produce the show. The film's director, George Lucas, was there on Monday 16 May in Leicester Square to appreciate the event, along with the stars and the crowds of fans.

Contained on the 15m Orbit Stage was the rig of PixelLine LED fixtures; X.Spot Extreme, Studio PC Beam and Cyberlight Turbo moving lights from high End Systems and Wholehog II. Ground support towers were used for the lights needed for the 'red carpet' entrance, and CO2 cannons were saved for the arrival of Darth Vader! In addition to lighting the show, Utopium rigged all the 1-ton LED video screens; one on the roof and six on the ground-support towers.

A few weeks earlier, Utopium had also lit the premier of Hitch Hikers Guide to the Galaxy - using City Colours and Studio PC Beams to brighten the outside of the Masonic Hall in London, scene of the after-show party. Utopium's corporate clients continued on a busy year with events for Barclays, Redken, Lloyds TSB, PWC (PriceWaterhouseCooper), Siemens and Spar. Along with Guy Chambers for the BBC, Utopium Lighting also toured with Goldie Looking Chain and Thirteen Senses.
